Técnico warmly welcomes interaction with society, both in the education of its students and in tackling technological and societal challenges.

The submission of proposals and development of Capstone projects aim to strenghen the Society-University relationship, offering mutual benefits. For companies and other institutions, the key advantages of these projects include:

1) Collaborating with highly qualified students and professors on problems directly relevant to the company/institution.

2) Positively contributing to the future development of young engineers in Portugal and preparing them for the challenges they will face after completing their master’s degree;

3) Gaining recognition as an innovative company/institution among Técnico students and connecting with Portugal’s next generation of talent;

4) Participating in an annual event to showcase Capstone projects and network with other companies/institutions involved in these initiatives, with the potential to expand the business/operational ecosystem.

Proposals are submitted annually in November and December. A new call for applications will open in November 2025.
